made this cute basket from a large oval. cut bottom so that it sat flat. cut half an oval in the centre and folded down to outside. cut a contrasting half oval to go over the 'folded down' piece and decorated it with flowers (this is the front) decorated the back with one flower.cut two the same and then made an oblong box. stuck one oval to one long side of oblong box and the other oval to the other side hence forming a basket. Tied the 'handles' with ribbon and added a tag - oval of course. would hold chocolates, or small cosmetics, or at Christmas if you put a protective liner in could hold strawberries, cherries, nuts etc.
