Child notice board

Enjoyed making this notice board for one of my grandsons. I uses some 'boys' paper and cut and covered the board, then the create a critter 2 got some use and I made and added the critters. the letters of his name I cut from the font on Suburbia.  I put some embellishments on the back to cover the 'knots' where I tied the elastic.

Wall hanging notice board

made this wall hanging notice board for my daughter as she has a 'Jandal Wall' at her place. The main centre of the board is a page covered in Jandals and I have added some embellishments at each corner. To hang it I have used Curtain rings. I love the 'create a critter' cartridge and now I have 'create a critter 2' I am just having a lovely time playing with them. The second pic is the back of the board which has shells all over the page.

book for Grandson

One of my grandsons is going overseas on a 'student exchange' and I have made this little book for him to fill in before he goes. First pic is the front cover (he lives in Whakatane). then I have put 'sticky notes' on the next two pages to explain that a photo goes on the right and the story about it goes on the left. He is a surfer so I had to put in a page with the surf board. And a page of 'walking on the beach'. I have added a number of blank pages so he can add photos and journalling.
I made the book from the 'mini books' cartridge. the 'lettering' from - (I think it was Learning Curves) the jandals and the surf board are from a spellbinders 'surfs up' die. Hope he likes it.

cups

two sets of cups made from the TBBM2 cartridge. Note, read the instructions in the book as first time I made these I did not 'fold them over' and as a result they were not stable and looked 'out of proportion'. I happy with these ones and they are so so so easy.
Any ideas for filling them??????
cracker was made in an online class.

Christmas Houses

Made these little houses for my trainers at the gym. They are cut from the Sweet Tooth Boxes cartridge (the store pg 26) and cut them at 6.5 inches. I find that the 'sign post' is very fine, so I cut a small piece of card stock and 'backed' the sign piece. I wrote the persons name on the sign with gold gel pen. the butterflies are from SU (I just love them). I bought some tiny Father Christmas's and put one in each house with a dimensional so that he is 'looking out the window'. I filled the house with Hershey's Kisses.
I used two pieces of card stock and reversed them e.g. the green house has red windows etc and the red house has green windows etc. both houses have the same roof. I put 'stickles' on the butterflies to give them a bit of sparkle.
hope you like.

Treasure Chests

spent the day making some things for Christmas for friends. These little 'treasure chests' are made from TBBM2 on page 62 and cut at 6". I like the fact that they are cut in one piece and the front folds in to form a lining which makes them a little more sturdy. Teddy was cut from Teddy Bear Parade and the 'star' (sherif badge) was from create a critter. I used the font on Learning Curve. Ribbon is from American Crafts. I filled them with a packet of 'chocolate coins' that come in a little net bag purchased from the supermarket.free glitter text and family website at FamilyLobby.com

Christmas is on it's way

Posted by PicasaI just loved making these little Christmasy things. All the teddys will hold a bag of goodies like the Christmas Bells one on the top left. I like the triangle boxes as they hold cupcakes or small jars of jam or by removing the 'inner' you could fill it with lots of goodies. - the triangle boxes were cut from 'sweet tooth boxes' and the teddy bears from Teddy bears on parade. the frog (toad??) I just made from a circle and my imagination. the Christmas Cracker was an online demo.

A packet of seeds gift

I didn't like the idea of just handing over a packet of seeds for a gift, but a gardening friend felt she would appreciate a packet of seeds. So I jazzed them up by doing this. The pot is a little plastic planter pot, filled it with that stuff you put dried flowers in, got 3 sticks from a tree in the garden. I cut a piece of card the same size as the seed packet and taped a stick between the card and the seed packet. Used the hot glue gun (for the first time) and glued the butterflys to the other sticks and poked them into the base. covered the top of the planter with little glass stones. Used some Christmas paper and put around the planter and added a Stampin Up Christmas Tag. Made the cat from Cindy Loo cartridge. cut some teeny tiny butterflys from Stampin Up punch and stuck two onto the seed packet so they 'sat on a flower'. I think this looks much nicer than 'just a packet of seeds'

first craft market

My first 'craft fair'. While I did not sell a huge amount, the networking that I did and the information given to me by other 'stall holders' was invaluable. I very much appreciated everyones advice and look forward to doing some more craft markets (maybe) ha ha. I think I spent twice as much as I made, at the other stalls!!!

Christmas Crackers

3 Christmas Crackers made in white cardstock. the back one has a flower from 'Dazzles mix 'ems flower stickers', the middle one has flower from Stampin Up Floral Fusion and the front one has a flower by Flo.
The centre of the cracker is embossed on the CuttleBug.

square basket from a circle

thanks Ema for the inspiration to do this basket. the paper is a circle with green scalloped edging. Flo taught me how to make the flower. The tag is cut from a die. The paper had a 'barcode' on the inside and I needed to cover it, so I cut a piece of card and taped it over the barcode and made the tag to fit in it. Worked well - basket has a tag and the barcode is hidden. put brads in to hold the sides and also to hold the handle in place.

Christmas crackers

two Christmas crackers in a box.

Lady and Gentleman

I have just loved making these. They are from the Tags Bags Boxes and more 2 cartridge. I made the lady from cardstock and covered her with some faintly embossed paper that my daughter had given me, I covered the bodice and strip around the bottom of her skirt with sticky sparkly ribbon (I think I got it at the Sanzi workshop in Auckland), made the guy from dark brown card with a shirt of a similar paper to the lady's dress, the little from is from my friend Ema. The box is made with some pages from L'll Rosie Designer Scrapbook paper and roses etc from my friend Ema. I think it really cute.

Recipe Holder

I came across this lovely recipe holder by "Laura' The Paper Trail'.
It is lovely to make and her instructions are very good. My photography as usual is terrible - the inside has little holders with cards inside so you can write recipes (or put photos on) or it could even be used as an address list etc.  I may add some more decoration to it.

You know you are tired when you find that the new double sided tape that you are using does not stick - only to discover (after getting very frustrated) that you have not taken the backing paper off it!!!!!!! ha ha.

House shaped book

I made this book in the shape of a house. Front of house is pic 1.  My photography is terrible and I am not sure how to get these pics in a row instead of up and down like this. But here are some of the pages anyway.
